The most important monuments such as the Cathedral of San Giorgio, the saint patron of the city, are situated in the ancient historic town centre; the “Estense Castle” symbol of Ferrara, “Schifanoia Palace” which  houses beautiful frescos from the fourteenth century and the “Diamanti Palace” which permanently houses the national pictures gallery and temporary expositions of big success. Ferrara is famous for being the “city of bycicles”, the favourite transport device for the locals, but also for its ancient and prestigious university; furthermore in Ferrara every year some unmissable events take place, such as: the Palio of Ferrara, the Ferrara Buskers Festival and the Baloon Festival. Venice is one of the most famous and important cities of Italy. It rises on a big archipelago consisting of 118 islets interconnected by a thick network of channels, linked by more than 400 bridges. San Marco Square is made unique by the “Basilica of San Marco”, the bell tower and the “Clock Tower”. Opposite the square, in the middle of the lagoon arises the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Sailing the “Canal Grande” on the typical Venetian boats called “Gondole”, we can admire  many buildings, the churches and bridges that makes of Venice an exclusive and unique city in the world. Built in 1592 the “Bridge of Rialto” is the most famous. In the big lagoon we find hundreds of islets: Murano, Burano and Torcello are the most wellknown.
