The Po Delta Park is one of the most important protected natural areas in Italy, located in the eastern end of the Po Valley, between the regions of Emilia-Romagna and Veneto. It covers over 53,000 hectares and is characterised by a unique landscape where water, land and sky come together to create one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems in Europe.<\/p>\n
The park is home to an extraordinary variety of flora and fauna, with over 300 species of migratory birds that find the Delta an important stopping point on their routes. The fauna also includes numerous mammals, fish and amphibians, while the flora is characterised by the presence of plants typical of wetlands and marshes.
\nThe park area is a mosaic of lagoons, marshes, canals, valleys and forests, with sand dunes alternating with agricultural areas and fertile countryside.<\/p>\n
